In other words, this situation has been created because the government wanted to reduce the number of luxury hotels that were built in the U.S., but did not realize that many luxury hotels in Asia will not be allowed to build on the same scale as the American luxury hotels, as the Chinese government has said they are afraid of the ensuing increase in suicides due to overwork. So in effect, it was a forced diversity plan.
All three buildings must have been constructed on the same scale because they will have to share the same building permits, meaning that if one building is going through more building permits than the other two, then it will lose out on tax breaks and benefits. Which, as an American, I am all for, but it is clear that the plan was flawed and went a bit overboard, in my opinion. I feel that the government should have put a cap on the size of hotel complexes built in the country so that those foreign investors could not do so much over-reach.
